i'm amanda Michele

An artist consultant, helping artists, galleries, and collectors buy/sell/make with intention, integrity, and fearlessness. I am a Washington state native, currently based in Maui, Hawaii. Before moving to Maui and focusing my energy on Arts Enabler, I was the Gallery Manager at Pivot Art + Culture, a museum I helped launch in 2015 — the same year I helped launch the inaugural Seattle Art Fair. My experience includes two decades of administrative work in the for-profit and nonprofit art realms, where I had the honor of working with such businesses and organizations as Vulcan, Lisa Harris Gallery, Artist Trust, Photographic Center Northwest, and Teatro ZinZanni (One Reel).

As a community arts activist I have independently curated several exhibitions along the Pacific Coast to bring the arts to the public in non-traditional ways. I founded Inky Spokes and Cross Pollinate, annual pop-up exhibitions featuring visual art, dance, and music. For several years I curated the visual arts portion of Georgetown's Carnival. Currently I am the board advisor for Art Maui and Facilities Manager at ProArts Playhouse.

I received my BFA from Cornish College of the Arts with a focus in drawing, photography, and sculpture. I am a practicing artist, which I believe gives me a unique advantage to working with and advocating for artists as I understand the artist's way, have creative vision, and am an innovative problem solver.
